Father Daniel Robayo

The Reverend Daniel Robayo is our Rector. The Rector serves as the spiritual head of the parish and oversees the worship life of Emmanuel while serving as a pastor, priest and teacher. Daniel has served his entire ordained ministry here in the Diocese of Virginia, as rector and associate rector in various parishes, and as a Spanish missioner in northern Virginia. He earned his M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary in 1987, and was ordained a priest in 1988. Daniel and his family have lived here in the Valley for the last ten years. Deacon Ed Bachschmid

Deacon Ed Bachschmid

The Reverend Deacon Ed Bachschmid is our Deacon. The Deacon is called to serve in a special ministry of servanthood directly under our bishop, assisting in the administration of the sacraments and reaching out to those in our community and beyond who are in need. In addition, Ed leads worship services at the VMRC, Sunnyside, and Bridgewater retirement communities. Ed has served Emmanuel for six years, coming to us most recently from the Diocese of New Mexico. Dr. Linell Gray Moss, Music Director

Dr. Linell Gray Moss, Music Director

Dr. Linell Gray Moss serves as Music Director for Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Harrisonburg, and teaches music and student development courses for Blue Ridge and Germanna Community Colleges. Moss brings a broad background in teaching, performing, and music ministry.  She has directed church music programs in United Methodist, Presbyterian, Northern Baptist, and Episcopal churches, and has sung as cantorial soloist in synagogues in Iowa and Virginia.  She received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati College- Conservatory of Music.

Wendy Filler, Parish Administrator

Wendy Filler serves as our Parish Administrator. Wendy is a native of the Shenandoah Valley, who presently resides in Grottoes. Wendy graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services. She has over twenty years of experience in office management with an emphasis in finance. Wendy’s family has extensive roots in various churches in the Shenandoah Valley. Her maternal family founded the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Grottoes, Virginia, her paternal Grandfather was a Baptist pastor, while her paternal Great Grandfather was an ordained Episcopal pastor.
